Nigel Girgrah, MD, Ph.D

Chief Wellness Officer, Ochsner Health | Medical Director, Multi-Organ Transplant Institute

Dr. Nigel Girgrah received both his medical and doctorate degrees from the University of Toronto. He obtained a specialist certification in both gastroenterology and internal medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He completed further research training in hepatology in the area of portal hypertension and his clinical expertise is in end-stage liver disease and transplant hematology. 

Dr. Girgrah's special interests include recurrent viral disease post-liver transplantation and living donation liver transplantation.
