Dr. Alleyn received her medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania. She then completed a pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Alleyn was also a research fellow at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. She is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology.
